Attack on Titan: Levi Ackerman Workout and Diet

 Alright fellas, I know many of you wanna know this but there's not a lot of info out there. I'm a huge AoT fan AND I've read the manga and the Levi backstory.

Couple points to note about Levi:-

-He's short

-Incredibly Strong

-Slim but Ripped

-Loves Tea

That should be good enough

Diet

Now I don't think Levi was a person who was watching his diet a lot. I remember reading somewhere that he only sleeps for 3 hrs a night. Many people think that that is horrible for your health. Although that may be true there is actually a way to do that without it harming your health but in order to be able to do it you might have to change your diet and quite drastically at that. In order to be able to sleep so less, first you need to change your diet to 50-60% raw fruits and vegetables. Remember RAW. Another thing is your gonna have to sleep at least 4-5hrs after your last meal of the day and go to sleep hungry. This method won't harm your health and may quite possibly improve it. If you follow this consistently, within a month you'll notice that your sleep drops down drastically from 8hrs it could go down to less than 4hrs. You could try it. 
Now in terms of those who are overweight. The above mentioned method will allow you to lose weight easily. But here are some other methods to follow for those who prefer to sleep 7-8 hrs:-

1) Intermittent Fasting (16/8, 18/6, OMAD, Warrior, etc)

2) Frequent Meals (5-7 small meals a day, every 2-3 hours)

3) Regular 3 Meals a Day (But keep 1-2 meals as salads)

There's many more but at the end of the day, find out what works best for you. I'll release an article that goes more in depth with diet. Another thing to remember is Levi drinks a lot of tea. He drinks black tea but if you want something more detoxing and a boost for weightloss you could opt for green tea or any tea that peaks your interest and make sure to drink at least 2-3 cups a day.


Workout

Great. Let's get on with the best part. The Workout!

I doubt the people living within the walls new anything about weight training neither do I think Levi had the time to spend an hour or so in a gym. So imma keep this Cardio & Calisthenics.

Split

Monday: Cardio
Tuesday: Upper Body
Wednesday: Cardio
Thursday: Full Body
Friday: Cardio
Sat/Sun: Active Rest Day

Upper Body Calisthenics

5 Pullups
10 Diamond Pushups
5 Dips
10 Hanging Leg Raises
3-5 Sets
1 Min. Rest B/W Sets

Full Body Calisthenics

5 Chin Ups
10 Pushups
10 Lunges 
15 Squats
20 Crunches
3-5 Sets
1 Min. Rest B/W Sets

Now you're goal is to keep adding reps over time. The workout is optional but stick to the upper and full body splits. Add more reps and sets as per your preferences and make sure to keep it challenging.

If you are someone who prefers the gym and has one accessible, use the same split and do two full body workouts hitting all the muscles chest, back, shoulder, arms, legs, calves. You could opt for a Upper body, Lower body split too.

Cardio

This is wholly up to you. If you're someone who's a little overweight (or a lot) I would suggest you adopt a mix of LISS Cardio (Running, Cycling, Swimming, etc) and HIIT (Sprints, Jump Rope, etc)
If you're someone who is skinny and wants to pack on some muscle I would suggest you opt for walking as your main cardio. Many ripped dudes prefer walking over other cardio options and sometimes that's all they do! (for cardio)



How to be like Levi

Now let's talk about how to be like Levi in your day to day life. And don't gimme that crap about "don't try to be like someone else." We are not what "destiny" has made us, we are who we choose to be (even if that's an anime character). 
Anyway, let's get on with it..

1) Be Admirable: in order to be admirable you have to be the best at what you do, whatever it may be. Even if you're a janitor, be the best janitor in the world. Don't settle for anything lesser. But if it does happen that someone comes along who is better than you. Don't let that affect your ego. Accept the losses and always be ready for a challenge.

2) Have someone you hold very dear: Every single person in the Ackerman family has someone who they admire or have immense respect for (Mikasa > Eren, Levi>Ervin, Kenny> Uri Reiss). It could be anyone your mom, dad, a friend, it's up to you. It has to be someone you trust wholly but not obsessively.

3) Be calm and aloof: Levi is almost never surprised. ALMOST. So try not to let minor or simple things faze you in any way. Be the kind of person who is least affected by his/her losses, and not bothered by his/her wins (as if you knew you were gonna win from the start). Now aloof, be sure to have a small group of close friends (it's ALWAYS better to have friends than to be alone) but be aloof, don't always hang out with them and make sure you are someone important in the group.

4) Have an undercut but keep it simple: This I would definitely say applies for both the guy's and the girls. But don't overdo it and just keep it natural, no hair gels or other styling products. Go for a mushroom look if possible!

5) Spend very little time in the shower: Another thing about Levi is that he has a very short shower routine. I would suggest opt for cold showers. That should keep it pretty short. Just apply some face wash and get out. But once or twice a week spend a while in a hot shower and do a full body scrub to keep yourself clean.

    3. Yup, if you struggle with adding reps to your exercises, especially the harder ones like pull ups; I would recommend you train Pull Ups in an EMOM style. You can look it up if you don't know what it means. I have also published a post on how to increase your pull-ups. You can check that one out. Please feel free to ask any other questions!

    1. You wanna eat things with high water content like apples, melons, pear, cucumber, citric fruits, some dry fruits and more. Add some black tea/coffee to further help with it. All the best!

  3. Do u have any idea on how to get levis body? How hes slim/slender but ripped? Ive been wanting to have a body like that, and thought u could give suggestions

    1. Well....I just wrote a whole post about that. I have mentioned that he is slim and ripped. Also, I don't have enough info about yourself. If you're someone overweight. Start eating healthier, do some LISS cardio (look it up if you don't know what it means) and follow the workout which I have provided. Thank You!
